LGBTQ+ Mykonos 2027: Beaches, Nightlife and Where to Stay

LGBTQ+ Mykonos 2027: Beaches, Nightlife and Where to Stay

Mykonos has welcomed LGBTQ+ travellers for decades and remains one of the most open, joyful and welcoming destinations in Europe. Whether you are planning a relaxed holiday, a celebration with friends or a big summer of parties, here is your guide for 2027.

Why Mykonos?

Mykonos combines Greek island beauty with a famously relaxed attitude. Locals are used to visitors from all over the world, and the island has a long history as a gay-friendly destination. Greece has also made progress on LGBTQ+ rights in recent years, including marriage equality, which became law in 2024.

The best LGBTQ+ friendly beaches

Elia. One of the longest beaches on the island, with a section long popular with gay travellers. It is relaxed, beautiful and good for a full day.

Super Paradise. Known for its lively beach scene and parties, it is a favourite with LGBTQ+ visitors who want music and atmosphere.

Paradise and Paraga. Busy, fun beaches with clubs and bars, popular with a mixed crowd.

Most beaches on the south coast are welcoming and diverse, so you will feel at home almost anywhere.

Nightlife

Mykonos Town is the heart of the island's LGBTQ+ nightlife, with bars and clubs spread through the lanes near the harbour and Little Venice. Jackie O' is one of the island's best-known names, with a bar in town and a beach club at Super Paradise, known for drag shows and sunset parties. Nights start late, around midnight, and go on until morning.

Where to stay

Mykonos Town is ideal if you want to walk to the bars. A private villa is perfect for a group of friends: your own pool, space to relax and, in some villas, the option to host your own party. Our concierge can recommend villas that suit your plans.

Getting around safely

Taxis are hard to find late at night, especially when the bars close. Booking a private transfer or a chauffeur for the evening means a safe, comfortable ride home, without waiting.

When to go

July and August are the busiest and most lively months. Late August and September are popular with LGBTQ+ travellers too, with warm sea, great parties and slightly smaller crowds.
