Taxis in Mykonos

Mykonos has a small number of licensed taxis for the thousands of visitors who arrive every day in high season. The main rank is in Mykonos Town, with others at the airport and the port. Outside busy times they work well, but in the evenings and after the beach clubs close, waits of an hour or more are common.

Buses

Public buses connect Mykonos Town with the most popular beaches, the airport and the port. They are cheap and run often in summer, but they do not go everywhere, stop running late at night and get crowded.

Rental cars and quads

A rental car gives you freedom, but Mykonos roads are narrow and busy, and parking in town and at the beaches is very limited in July and August. Quads are popular but not recommended on busy roads, especially at night.
